Gotta remember that most folks in Michigan have never seen an elk and probably don\'t even know they are around. Sounds like he\'ll be paying $11,000 for the mistake though...I\'d think that will teach him a lesson.

I fully believe the hunters story of mistaken identity. Hunter Education didn\'t do him much good. I wonder who showed him which end of the rifle you put the bullet in. :ill: :mg:

I remember years ago when I saw a bovine out in a ranchers pasture that had (COW) painted on it\'s side with florescent orange paint to protect it from idiots like that.
