Swede, an outfitter I used to guide for told his hunters if the cattle were up feeding, the elk would be too. We could see cattle across the road from the cabin-lodge from out the windows. If a couple stood up, he shooed the guys out. Hunting bedding areas on that place was strictly verboten to keep the elk in there (we had essentially 100% success on bulls by keeping them around. The only ones who didn\'t score were guys holding out for a real big one). So he\'d send them out to sit at the edges of meadows where the elk weren\'t going to appear until around sundown.
One day I told him he was full of it, that cattle feeding didn\'t have anything to do with elk. He then told me he only told them that so they\'d get out of the lodge and not sit around watching TV and eating his food all day...
