LONG time bowhunter on the east coast trying to learn (and prepare) for  a new obsession...

My name is Bill, live in NC. I thought I'd throw an intro out here. Been a hunter and student of hunting for a long time but have returned to bowhunting as my primary outlet. Elk hunting was a long time dream but I've decided it's time to pursue.

Hi Bill, welcome to the forum. I'm from NC also. There's lots of knowledgeable people on here and lots of good tips to pick up. Throw out your questions and most people will give their advice with the exception of where they hunt. Elk hunting can literally be a life changing experience if you get bitten by the addiction so be careful. Being from NC I only get 7 days to experience the real elk hunting, but for the other 355 days out of the year I live it in my head. Learning as you go along is half the fun. Enjoy the journey!
