I have only used inserts, but looking at black eagle arrows their deep impact arrows use outserts. Anyone have any experience with outserts?

Thanks

im no expert but from my experience they work just as well as the inserts brother. they have there good points and bad just as any thing would have i would only use them if your using a drop away rest. extra contact with the rest could cause an issue

Sorry it took so long to get back to ya'll expecting a new little hunting budy  :) :), but tuffhead.com or alaskabowhunting.com both have Ashbys reports abh has videos, also you can get on youtube and type in Asbhy reports there is 10 videos on there. Happy reading and scouting

I would not trust the outserts. I was in elk camp shoot at a stump and my arrow hit a rock the size of a quarter and snapped. The outsert busted right where it comes in contact with the arrow. Then the next day Mr. Bull elk standing broadside 30 yards (ranged) arrow hit bull and I hear the smack. I thought dead bull. Wrong waited an hour only to find my arrow with 5 inchs of blood on it and the outsert snapped off the same way the arrow snapped in camp. The last time I shot outserts!

Very good choice. That is the same arrow I shoot.
