Hi,
I'm an aussie and although I'm only 22 I have been hunting since I could walk. We have a different situation to you guys in the states where most of our deer don't have seasons so we can hunt them year round. Despite this fact they are still extremely hard to take because the numbers are so low and without bag limits idiots from the city come down and shoot every young stag they can find, lop the head and leave the meat to rot.
After a couple of years ofpassing up nice animal after nice animal in search for the right one the gods shone on me and blessed me with this guy. I'm not into scores and have decided to not have him registered in our National score registry but to give you an idea, with his broken Bez tine he scores 342 Douglas score which puts him in the top 20 of all time red deer taken in Australia. With his broken tine intact he was estimated at making the top five.
None of that means much to me though, I'm just honoured to have taken him and could spend a lifetime in vain searching for something more special.
