Physical Training For Your Hunt

Look up \"Tabata\" training, cnelk.

It\'s fast, that\'s for sure. I\'m not into \"intensity\" like that, but it does really improve your CV abilities in short-order. And you can customize it ... to include just core, or just upper or lower body work.

Tabata one day, yoga the next would be a good, simple formula that is do-able in 30 minutes a day, and scalable to be good for anyone from someone who just wants to get in shape to the young buck who really wants to hunt the Never Make It Out Alive Wilderness. And everyone in between.

The trouble with exercise, like diet, tooth care, changing oil, rotating tires, and the like ... is not the details, it\'s just DO IT.

I hate that part.

Well put mtnmutt...3 months is a long time and you can get a lot accomplished depending on how much time you are willing to dedicate.

i\'ve tried it both ways.

it is so much more enjoyable being somewhat fit. safer too!! when i get tired, i noticed my steps get sloppy. i used to twist my ankle often.
so much so, i visited a doctor.

it confirmed a weird body geometry, he suggested i build strength. i started running. then TRAIL JOGGING!! <--------- this a surefire way of twisting an ankle for me..i was nervous!! i took it slow and paid attention to where i stepped. things got stronger. my ankles are way healthier.

i am not a skinny person..you wont ever find my ab muscles. i\'m not fat..i know i am one mobile elk hunter., my brother is skinny and strong. he is my litmus test. if i can keep up with him, carry the same elk quarters..i\'m good.
