Re-gearing This Year

I bought an entire set of first lite two years ago and love it. I wore the same thing for 10 days elk hunting and it never smelled. It fits great and it just works. Plus you just can't beat their customer service

when you say set do you mean base layers or complete outer and inner ?do you have the springer vest and the chama hoodie?

well I bought the red desert boxers, the Allegheny bottoms, the Kanab pants then for tops I bought a llano crew, chama qz, springer vest, Labrador full zip sweater and the chugach workshirt. I love all of it and am in the process of ordering the new outer layers for when it gets really cold

how long have you had them? how long has it stood up are you replacing or adding to it?

It has stood up great no holes or rips in anything  and I bought it three years ago. Now I'm just adding on to the heavy duty outer layers for when I'm late season deer hunting back in wisconsin and michigan.

I really don't think you can go wrong with First Lite.

My only problem with first lite was i had to get all my questions answered here vs the emails i sent them asking. there gear is top notch i agree and, i am going the merino wool route for sure.

My new current setup, includes first lite as my base and mid layer, followed by Kuiu as my outer wear, with the advances in hunting clothes, you can't go wrong with the companies catering towards hunters. Now go spend some cash haha

That is strange. They are usuallyreally quick to respond.  I have reached out to them a few times and had a response in less than a day.

im on day four for all the companies i am interested in all but 2 have returned at minimum a email and im only looking at 6 companies

Hey Cowboy,
That is where I have been getting all of my C4E gear.  You could get a whole setup of their MM gear for a great deal!
I have only had the chance to use my C4E gear a few times going out shed hunting and it has been comfortable and all the items I have seem to be pretty high quality

well i found it due to another post on this forum and C4E was on my list of companies i was looking at already i already bought two items on Camofire from them there customer service at C4E was great and there gear from what i have read is just as top notch as the rest so when i saw the Camofire price i Pulled the trigger lol. I have already saved 200$ and ill def make my budget Now for sure and as long as the deals keep coming all said and done ill get more gear than i was after under budget with all the name brands i wanted. worst case i go and buy everything else full price im still under budget with saving on just the two items iv bought so far im stoked!they have sitka and first lite too and many others badlands i could go on i dont care if its last years patterns or gear its new and good, ill buy it every time!

If you want to take a look at everything that they offer then you can go to blackovis.com.  It is their other site where they sell their gear when it is not on camofire.  If you have bought from them in the past sometimes you can get a hold of them and they will still give you a deal even if it ist on sale at that moment.

cool i have all ready cruised that site if they have something i have to have ill be all over it personally i dont care if i match as long as the gear is good and fits good im happy this isnt style this is form and function:)

Kuiu is good stuff. First time buying the high end stuff and love it. Tried my buddy's kuiu gear and it was nice stuff. hunting  nextto him most of last year archery season in oregon it was good stuff he stayed warm cool and dry better than i did wearing attack pants and merino wool. If you can make the trip to their shop in Dixon. I did and got discounted stuff. Attack pants that were a 35.5" instead of 36 fir 95 vs 150 Merino 185 & 230 zip t's for 45 each regular 80 for 185 zip and 89.99 for 230 zip.plus bino harness that had something wrong with the camo but i couldnt tell and they were 50$ vs 75 or whatever. worth the trip for me.
