I took my dad out elk hunting in 2013 in pagosa springs col. We saw a few at a far distance and heard a couple bugles.  Well it was really hard for my old man to make the climbs and cover a lot of ground on foot due to arthritis in his hips.  I want to take him again but during rifle season and find a reasonable guide service that will pretty much take care of everything, in a unit we don't have to draw. I'm not sure how many more years he will have to be able to make the trip so looking to get it done this year.  Any advice or being pointed  the right direction of a good guide service that won't cost me a second mortgage on my house would be great lol. As of state the location doesn't really matter we will make the trip tho where ever the elk are.

Little Wood Outfitters in Carey Idaho with the Hennefer family. Dustin is their son and a solid guide. I honestly do not know too much about how they operate but I follow Dustin on social media and he kills it every year with his clients all year long!

Here is a link to their website and contact information:

I also know a friend who was a guide in Jackson Hole WY with Triangle X. He too pulled out some amazing bulls for his clients. Its a bigger outfit then Little Wood. Check them out and compare the two.
