Role Call - When Do You Leave?

...and when do you return? Figured it would be cool to get an idea on when people will be gone and when they will be back to update everyone on their hunt. Or will you have service on your hunt and be able to provide updates? Let us know!

I\'ll be MIA from Sept. 3-27 even if I tag out on the first day I get some service but don\'t mess with the internet much during Sept. I may update one of my BTO buddies via text at some point. Good luck folks!

Mostly long weekends this season for me since using a week of vacation in Oct for my wife\'s rifle hunt. Taking Friday off before opener to get camp setup then hunting 3 days. Following weekend is Labor Day so hunting another 3 days. Not sure about rest of season. Have a score to settle with a buck antelope too but not sure if/when that might happen if not this coming Saturday.

9/10-9/20. That includes about 15 hours of travel time each way. Plus setting up and taking down camp so we are llooking at about 7 days of hunting for our group of 3.

We\'re hunting weekends and long weekends until Sept 18. I have plans to be in elk camp 9/18-9/27, that\'s my \"long\" trip this year.

Aug 27-Sept 7 - Hunt begins Aug 29th - Connection at camp spotty, so I don\'t try to send stuff, only receive. I can go to an overlook for a connection when glassing to get a stronger connection or to town. I go to town once or twice for a shower. I have considered doing a daily Field Journal. We will see.

Sep 19-Sept 27 hunt - Leave for mountains date TBD. Camp location TBD.

You and I both! I leave Oct 8th and hunt the 10th-14th.

Leave Friday after work, wake up Saturday, my buddies and I kill 3 elk within the first 4 hours, pack them out that day, enjoy steaks and fly fishing Sunday and Monday.

Contingency plan: hunt till Tuesday of the first weekend. Do a couple days work and return on Thursday. Hunt till Tuesday again. Go call elk for my buddies 9pp ML tag. Wedding the following weekend. I have a club you can all join: Hunters Against Weddings During Elk Season - HAWDES... been getting out of control with my friends as far as weddings go the past couple of years. Then I can hunt that last weekend again if necessary.

Or how about HAHBDES...hunters against having babies during elk season! My sister is due Oct. 22nd, which is a little close to our Oct 10-14 hunt...needless to say, my brother-in-law doesn\'t get to hunt this year. He deserves it for making such a rookie mistake!
