So when a bull bugles he\'s looking for a fight right? I wonder which elk this cow wants to throw down with! :D

That\'s not a bugling cow.....

If you guys look real hard you will notice that it is just Lou bugling, but he is wearing his elk hat.

I need to keep watching these videos and get my behind in the woods to hear more of this.
Some bugles are long, the one in that first video is super short.

SO MUCH TO LEARN :dk:

Some different types in this one too...

It\'s hard to pay attention because of the size of this bull..

Is this a 300 class elk?

I\'d also like to know what everyone else thinks he would score. I\'m guessing hi 290\'s (and I mean really hi 290s) to low 300. He has very weak 3s. That really goes against his score in my book.

However, if he happens to step in front of my old Mathews LX, he will be toast.

Dan - So say you were standing in the woods and you wanted to direct someone standing 100 yards away to your location. Would you yell a loud and short \"here\" or would yell a loud and long \"Herrrrrrrrre\". Geographic location of the audio source can be better obtained when the sound is longer in length.

I\'d agree with WW, looks to be shy of 300.

Hard to tell on any bull because of so many variables. An inch or two here and there is a 20 inch swing. That bull is wide and has a pretty good top end, but weak bottoms overall (G1-G3). I don\'t think he\'ll get to 300. Still a nice-looking bull. I\'ve killed bulls in the 290-310 range with different antler configs. A couple surprised me both ways when we taped them.

I was called-in by an aggressively bugling cow once. In the elk world she probably had a butch haircut with a mullet, if you know what I mean.

Yes I was thinking about 310ish max as his first three points are short. His thirds are very weak but his tops are very good.

He must have had a hard time with food choices early on and then as vegetation grew so did the last part of his antlers. Could have been a big snow year and little food !!

Still I\'d be flinging an arrow through him !! :dance2:

If I shoot something that big this year I will throw a pizza party for everyone on the site

I lose my mind over a 125\" buck.....

What is going to happen when I am staring at a 260\" Elk

You\'ll swear it was a 320\"! :D Enjoy every second of it buddy. It just doesn\'t get any better!

iccy,
I would guess that bull to be in the mid 290s.
