Scouted Colorado 63 could use some tips

Countdown begins for 2019 Elk. Did some early scouting for first rifle elk on Black Mesa. It?s going to be a tough hunt, there is water and bears everywhere. Because of late snow, everything is overgrown and only saw elk down low by private property.



Has any one ever hunted it? Not looking for honey hole information or anything like that. Could use some guidance, crowded areas, elevations to hunt,  traditionally successful general map area. It would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Now that you have been there and have a feel for the country, wait until the season and find where the elk go when they are being hunted and pressured. They probably won't be where they are now.
