Hey Brent, you got me stoked now. My hunting partner ordered the DVDs, but we haven't watched them yet. Sounds like good info for certain....

Bullhunter, I like the right side of that drainage. It looks like some flats along the right side for bedding and it is edged by the fields. Food, water and bedding on the right slope.

The sun will be shinning into the left slope all day.....

Just my thoughts, let us know what the boot leather tells you.

I think there are a lot of things still to consider. What time of year are you planning on hunting? I like the distance away from the road. Have you looked into acme mapper yet? I always do that tocheck into the contours to find those small hidden benches. The area on the right does look great with the spines coming on the main ridge. Hope you find some good sign when you head in. Would love to hear the report of old rubs and possible springs you may find! Thanks for the post. I will try to get my area up shortly.

I plan on hunting the 8th of Sept to about the 15th.  I have used acme mapper and it works great.  I cant wait to get in there and put some boots on the ground.  Ill take my camera with me and take some photos.  Ill be putting out a trail camera in hopes of seeing something good.

http://viewer.nationalmap.gov/viewer/          Here is a link to a site I have found and been using for scouting online this year the topo/arial is very helpful. Hope this helps everyone

Thanks "camosteve4colorado" for posting the link to....nationalmap.......

I have looking for a image and topo map combination......this has good layering and printing capabilites.

I have using the Garmin basemap combined with google earth. It shows all the places i have marked on Google Earth.  Once they show up on Google earth i look for places around the areas i marked to find a better spot.  So far its worked out pretty well.

I think that Google Earth is a awesome scouting tool.
specially for us guys that live back east, and have limited scouting time.
I have been using it for several years now, and it definitely helps getting me into decent spots. IMHO.
