Anybody have any advice on how to get these things REALLY sharp for elk hunting? I've tried a few different ways but haven't gotten them to that "wow thats sharp".
Thanks

Oregonbowhiker, I have been using Montec's since they came out. I have tried every which way to make them scary sharp without success. They are sharp, just not scary sharp. I still love them because of how well they fly and make a BIG hole when they hit something.

The best way I have found to sharpen them is to follow G5' s video on how to sharpen them using a diamond stone. Then use their sportsman sharpener and ever so softly run them through it. Good luck.

Here is the link to the sportsman sharpener.

I just lay it on a flat stone and go in one direction, pulling it backwards. Do equal passes on each side. I color the blade with a sharpie so I can get a feel of material removal.
