You\'re 35 yards out behind decent cover.
These two are rutting hard and got into a heated battle because of your cow calling.

Are you waiting for the fight to end?
Talking a shot first chance?
Which bull are you taking?

Do you have a shot right now?

The one to the left is presenting a shot now. I should shoot him. But I would rather shoot the other one. I am waiting. I hope I don\'t regret it.

Im shooting the left one.

Terry, why would you rather shoot he right one? What are you seeing?

additional piece to throw at this.

You\'re standing 13 yards away full draw on this right elk.
If this an acceptable frontal shot or are you just going to swing left and shoot the other?

At 35 yards out, I\'m going to have to wait. I will shoot the left one at 13 yards.

With this frontal shot.....
Where are we hitting and what are we hitting?

I\'ve seen all of your guys frontal kill pictures and it seems to be effective.

Are we hitting a mixture of things? Wind pipe? Heart? arteries?

I would think a good name for the spot to hit on a frontal would be called \'Spaghetti Junction\'
Its all there, concentrated, blood and oxygen, all the good stuff.

You\'re taking out the large vessels on top of the heart, and between the lungs.

On mine last year, the arrow went straight down the windpipe, took top of heart, right lung, liver, guts, and was exiting hindquarter. So, \"What do you hit?\" About everything. I like \"Spaghetti Junction\". Did you just come up with that, Brad?

Awesome! Seems like it\'s an effective shot for sure then.
I do remember the cow you \"skewered\" last year John! Actually, if I recall, Brads cow was a frontal shot too?

Can you guys best describe where you would be aiming for on that bull? Obviously you don\'t just point at the bull and shoot.
Do you have a spot you commonly pick?

There is a fine line between a frontal and a hard \'quarter to\'

The above bull isnt quite frontal, but a hard quartering to the left.
To adjust for this, my arrow would be just to the right of center.
Remember we want to know where the arrow will be going, not entering

John,
Spaghetti Junction is a term that was used in Mpls/StPaul where I35 & I94 meet when I drove semi thru there every other day in the 80s

Absolutely taking the shot at 35 on the one to the left. Probably try to lean a little to the left on the other at 13, but would take it. I like the bull on the left better anyway. At least thats what I\'m telling myself if he\'d be the best shot.

I\'d wait and watch the fight. Then shoot the one on the right when it\'s at a better angle.

I would prefer the bull to the right. He appears to have heavier beams than the other bull. They are close enough in size that either one would be great, and I would take either as presented.

I am going for the money shot on the left bull. I better be nuts on going for Mr. Righty even though he looks to have slightly more inches.

Like Pete said. The one on the right looks healthier. The one on the left has bleached out fur and is probably tougher than boot leather. And whats with all the fur spots messed up? Is he infested with ticks? Maybe they are scars from fighting and all the meat behind that hide is bruised.

I also thought the right one had a bigger set of antlers. Hard to tell by the angle. I do like the darker antlers too.
