Since it\'s that time of year, I\'m usually looking at honing my pack list by searches of past threads on the web. Last year, I did a 5 day spike camp and I was very comfortable during the whole trip. My pack rode well on trip in and I had enough of everything and did not end up with much more than I needed. Here is my general list. Typically it get\'s honed based on the location I hunt.

Well, my list won\'t be as long as yours because I don\'t bivy.
I have two different packs this year. A tree stand pack and then an all day pack.

Items found in there will be:

- Toilet paper
- Spare headlamp
- First aid kit
- 2 space blankets (also can be used to field dress and quarter on)
- 25 feet of emergency 550 cord
- matches
- knife
- small butcher kit (It is very small. Small bone saw, skinner, gutter)
- small tree/branch saw
- gps
- compass
- binos
- range finder
- snacks
- hydration bladder and maybe an additional bottle of water or two
- sandwich
- 5 hour energy (just in case)
- 6 spare .357 rounds
- calls with bugle tube
- bible
- phone (for initial pictures purpose)
- spare release
- small plastic bag, pen, and zip ties (for tagging purposes)
- spare pair of socks
- Spare T shirt

That\'s just a quick list, but I think I hit most of it

I dont recall seeing this thread before, but I now want to hunt with Roman. that fellow is organized! :)

I keep everything related to elk in a single spreadsheet. in there, I have a tab for the travel plan, the food plan, STT (stuff to take, categorized), a log of all our hunts past and present, historical costs (should probably be a hidden tab....), my workout record for the year, etc.

when I die, my wife is supposed to print a copy of it, and put it under my head for a pillow in my casket. =P
