Size vs weight pack dilemma

Ok, I have a thermarest pad, roll up, bulky but lite. Or I have a big agnes blow up pad that is compact but a bit heavier, ounces heavier.. But ounces make pounds. What way do you go?

Depends where the weight will be I guess. If you can get it closer to your body using the less bulky one than it might be worth it.

well actually which do you sleep better on which is more comfortable? just a thought can you cut ounces some place else ? what is your pack goal weight ? if it were me id sacrifice something else for a better nights sleep

I agree with a good nights sleep. I just went to a BA pad from a thermarest for that reason. Sometimes it might be worth packing a few ounces for a good nights rest. Like was stated above see if you can cut the ounces some where else?
