You pay for what you get. Simple as that. More expensive and warmer bags will be lighter in weight. Wait for the right deals and you can get a steal. I personally don't like wearing my clothes while I am sleeping but I do use most of them as a pillow. Nothing worse than waking up and getting cold and putting cold clothes on.
This year I used the BA Mcalpin 5 Deg. Worked awesome through out the trip and was very happy with it. If you use the suppression straps it can squeeze down to nothing and is very light weight. I plan on adding that to my gear for next year.
