I bought some smart wool socks really soft and lots of cushion but wow do they stink at the end of the day are they all like that? I didnt have this problem with cotton but they don't have the cushion.

That's odd, I thought that merino wool didn't allow bacteria to grow, therefore no stink.

I found them on eBay might be the problem they might not be smart wool.

I have tried a number of different merino wool socks and cant say I have had any reaking at the end of the day. You will have some odor of course depending on how much you stink, but let them air out for a while and the smell goes away.

Personally, Darn Tough socks are my go to.

If they are a true smart wool you shouldn't have that problem. Still, even though I wear a liner sock and a smart wool sock, I will still pour some baking soda in my boots before I put them on. My feet sweat a lot and even though they don't seem to smell, it helps with the odor.
