As one who doesn\'t use a stand, or call. I need to understand something from you guys who do.

Aren\'t you taking a stand by a waterhole/wallow, because elk come to it on their own? Why do you need to call them? Wouldn\'t that alert a bull that another bull is there, and he could change his mind about coming in?

Still Hunter, you are exactly right. It is rare that you improve your situation by calling. Stringunner helped himself by calling to a herd that was passing by, and coaxed in a small bull.
