About 1 year ago I was sitting deployed in Africa.
I had just put in and drawn my first elk tag and was absolutely lost.

I stumbled across this website and it was a savior. It\'s amazing how much confidence that you can gain over the course of a year.

Between all of your teachings, stories, tactics, pictures, experiences and more, I have been able to grow more and more daily as a hunter.
I am still lightyears away from being able to call myself a seasoned vet as an elk hunter, but man, I am so amped up for this year.

I am focused, prepared, confident, and just ready to go. Im going to hit the ground running.

So I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank you all for everything you do.
Just know that all your posts here effect someone for the better.
Whether it\'s for a lurker, a noob like myself, or even teaching an old dog new tricks, you are all a fantastic bunch of guys.


I just hope that I am able to return the same for you guys someday :upthumb:

We all have something to contribute and by a collective mass we can help each other out. Just because a person is new doesn\'t mean they are not going to have success. And...just because a person has a lot of experience doesn\'t mean they shouldn\'t have questions or can\'t learn more. 1 Corinthians 3:18
So this forum is great because we all can learn new things and share our experiences to make us all more successful hunters.
That and we can gain some pretty cool friendships here!

I had know idea Paul was talking about elk hunting in that 1 Cor. 3 passage. That gives me an entirely new level of hope that there will be tree stands and elk hunting when I reach eternity!!! :angle: :think:
