It\'s been a while since I posted.....hitting the elk hunting hard. :D

What I\'d like to share in part one is, please take precautions with regards to carbon monoxide poisoning. It\'s not a myth and does kill people. Check your detector and make sure to open a vent, wide. Someone, at some time, took the batteries out of mine and I paid the price Saturday. Here\'s some pictures after I was rushed to the ER. :sick:

Part 2 involves an elk and bow. :crazy:

Hope all is alright with ya, John.... Be careful... Those ER visit\'s can get ya down and up also... ;) ;)
 
Dang John glad you are ok. You are right about having a working detector. We seem to loose someone every year around here because they didn\'t have one.
 
can you tell us what happened?

close call...it doesnt take much to..nevermind.

you know. thank God you are okay bud. now quit scaring us and get to PART TWO

Lots of events lead up to the problem. But it was my fault for assuming the batteries were still in the detectors. Safety == first priority.
 
Wow, I just got time to read a few threads and found this. It sounds like a scary near fatal event. Thank God you are all right. I will check out my detectors again soon.
