This weekend - Part 1

It\'s been a while since I posted.....hitting the elk hunting hard.

What I\'d like to share in part one is, please take precautions with regards to carbon monoxide poisoning. It\'s not a myth and does kill people. Check your detector and make sure to open a vent, wide. Someone, at some time, took the batteries out of mine and I paid the price Saturday. Here\'s some pictures after I was rushed to the ER.

Part 2 involves an elk and bow. :crazy:

Good reminder to always have a couple of those in camp! That\'s scary stuff...

Lots of events lead up to the problem. But it was my fault for assuming the batteries were still in the detectors. Safety == first priority.

Wow, I just got time to read a few threads and found this. It sounds like a scary near fatal event. Thank God you are all right. I will check out my detectors again soon.
