Topo maps. What's your favorite?

Publiclands.org  has every topo,USGS.    1/24000

I also go to a map store in Alb. or REI type place for custom multi map prints.

Have also gotten MyTopo.com maps ,but pricey.

Falcon View! Topo overlay on satellite imagery. If you are going to pay for your maps this is the way to go. I haven’t found anything better.

For my garmin mapping GPS the best I have found are http://www.huntinggpsmaps.com/.  They have great topo and road detail and you get land ownership.  Don't use this for elk but for some of our deer hunting it is a nice tool for finding new property and or finding property lines for the owners land that has given you permission.

I use the USGS website & download the map(s) I need. I usually print out just the area I need. Before I laminate it I make any lines, marks, boundaries, game concentrations, etc that I want to keep permanently. I use the 1:24,000. They typically have the grid lines on them, but sometimes they don't.

I'm going to have to check this out. I love using maps, and seem to be the only one in my group who uses one. To me, maps tell stories of future hunts.  :)
