Well I went out and got my trail camera since my unit is burning down. I was surprised to see some cow elk, bear, doe and fawn plus a couple bucks.  No bull elk but that's ok. Hopefully my unit doesn't burn up too bad where I won't be able to hunt it.

If you can find the cows you can find the bulls. Goodluck to you this year! It's unfortunate about the fire but in a cple years your spot will be full of fresh vegetation and draw in all kinds of wildlife!

Thanks guys, Yeah i sure hope that fire doesnt make it to that exact spot. Ill try it out for a day and see if there is anything in there and if not I will have to go to another spot i have found. I located some fresh rubs and you still can smell the bull on that tree.  So hopefully that spot will pay off.

That's awesome I can't believe next weekend the chase is on finally. I'm so anxious I'm on a elk hunting forum at 11pm on a Tuesday night lol
