Tree Stump Removal

Get rid of tree stumps by drilling holes in the stump and filling them with 100% Epsom salt. Follow with water, and wait. The larger and deeper the drilled holes the better. Six to eight large deep holes should be enough but more will allow more material to penetrate, giving faster results. You can add water or even more epsom salt and water periodically to speed the decomposition process. Covering the stump with a tarp in between waterings is also an option, but may kill nearby grasses or other plants. Live stumps may take as long as a month to decay but then will start to decompose all by themselves.

Interesting. I never would have thought of that.

I\'d use black powder, and blow them out.

Funny Dan, my wife removes all the stuff in the yard like that when she makes landscaping changes.

I would assume cutting the stump as close to the ground would aid in removal too.
