Trophy rooms

Thanks Brad, here in Ks. we just dont have the variety you have there. I like that in your room!

You chose your words correctly in describing the absence of a elk rack. It is no longer merely a want but a need :!:

Brady Where in Mn. will you be hunting? They cut the tag numbers this year but in the east side its over the counter you can all ways get a tag.

CO elk
WI Whitetails
Quebec Caribou
WY antelope
WI bear skull in there somewhere

i will be hunting around the bemji area my wires grandparents have a cabin there and some land but will probably be hunting with a friend of mine from there and he has a lot of bears on it and his mother has land that has the area where u can buy otc tag he told me.

Brady you should have a good hunt in that area. I\'m just east of Leech Lake in the Chippewa National Forest and we have plenty of them around here to.

My wife\'s lake cabin is on wolf lake. I was going to book a bear hunt in Canada next year but I would save quite a bit going and hunting with him. Sounds like a fun time.

Ya nr tags in Mn are pretty cheep compared to some other states. I hunted them one time because I wanted to arrow one and the meat I had from them before was pretty good. I shot a young boar and he was the worst tasting bear I ever had. I would like to hunt them again but since I started elk hunting the two seasons are at the same time for me. Make sure you have some good cloths that stop the skeeters and deer flys they will drive you nuts on stand.

I have a question for all of you in regards to hanging your mounts.

Where did you FIRST start?
Here soon I will be getting back my first euro mount and first shoulder mount.

What ideas or tips do you have for someone who is starting off with their first stuff to hang.
I know it\'ll get easier with the more I hang, but I don\'t want the first ones to look awkward or out of place.

I check this thread often and every time I see it, I want to hunt KS or SD for whitetail haha

Actually Dan, you may find that it doesn\'t get easier with more. I kinda think it\'s easier with one or up to just a few. the more there are the more room needed and the more dominating they become. Starting with your first just use it in conjunction with other things following the same theme. I would be willing to bet you have some things like that. Of course if you are married, well, good luck!

I\'ve already lost the battle for the stuff being inside :dk:
It\'s either going in the garage or I am creating one of my rooms to be an office or early stages of a man cave.
With that being said, I have pictures and signs to use in conjunction with the deers head, so thanks for the tip.

I guess if I start killing more and I need more space, then I have justification to build a barn :D

Thanks for the help.

Ill play, I just finished my room a while ago. The big base is for a bear mount.
