I can use a mouth call to turkey hunt and want to practice on some elk calling with a mouth call. What do you guys recommend?

There were a couple of guys on here that had some good calls for sale, but havent seen them in awhile.
Look up Wapiti River calls and Glacier Country calls

Maybe they will post here again sometime

I like bugling bull calls. My favs are the screaming tormentor and the closer. Also the flo green one, can\'t remember the name.

I\'ve ordered from both of these companies. Quick shipping, and very helpful people.

Trav (Wapati) was on vacation for a couple of weeks in April.

I\'ve been using the hyperlip it works but I think the diaphram sounds really realistic when done right. I\'ve been using a power bugle for a bugle. It worked but I wanna have backup

John you want the Sweet Temptation single reed and the High Heel Hottie Bite call. I also make a prototype that guys here really like. Called the Deadly weapon.

Great sound Troy. You are one of a hand full of guys that can make any call sound good. And in your case, I\'d have to change that comment to \"make any call sound GREAT\". Take that as a complement !

Thanks WW, that is a very nice compliment. Thank You.
I heard this bull on You tube and just thought , Hmm, maybe I will try to try to mimic him. I think being able to mimic them is really effective, so it is just good practice. I had been working on some new call recipes so I was just messing around and comparing calls.
Sometimes I wonder If I should even post up any sounds??? It seems like everybody freely recommends this call or that call, but I seem to be the only one who posts up what they sound like.
I always just thought it would be helpful to know what they sound like.

John Little,

Funny you should mention Turkey reeds !! Elk reeds were born from Turkey reeds way back. That is the best thing about reeds you can make so many different sounds with them. We use the same reed for elk sounds, turkey sounds, coyote, crows, rabbits heck I even have a great buddy that can Goose call like crazy on the very same reed !!

So play with your reeds that you have and see what they can do. If your still not happy with the sounds give me a shout and I will send you a couple that will brighten your day !! Our calls have won the Canadian elk calling championships two years in a row !!

You don\'t need to be a pro to use them as they are made for everyone !! We use the same reeds for elk hunting as we do for competitions.

Give us a shout we\'d be glad to help you out !!

Thanks a lot trav, I\'ve been playing with several calls that I have. Definitely need more practicing. My turkey calls do sound like a elk call I just can\'t get the right noise out of them. It\'s a high pitch. Driving my wife crazy with all my calling practice

What calls do you recommend for a cow call trav??

I would recommend the Pink Lady. Here is what it looks like.
