That was the 3rd or 4th bull I saw that day. I got busted by a few cows and didn't get anything. I was expecting a lot of cow talk and all I heard all day were bugles. I'm wondering if all of our fire activity leading up to when I went up pushed the rut back a bit.

My friend had to shoot a cow moose with a bow while a 45"bull stood next to her watching.  Don't  feel one bit sorry for him though he has a 55" on his wall already.

It took me 14 years to draw a cow only tag and opening day that year I say 28 brow tine bulls on opening day and could not shoot one.have never applied for one again.
