Growing up as a kid I always love to going hunting, I was also big into bmx and video taping my friends and I doing jumps and stuff.  A few years ago I brought my video cam out to the woods with me to film my dads friend elk hunt. This hunt is what started it all off for me. I can say my favorite hunting gear is all of my video cameras I never leave the house without them now.  This was the first big game hunt I ever film and im kicking my self now it wasnt in HD. Pretty much after this hunt I bought all new HD camera's and even went back to school for video production. Hope one day to have my own hunting productions.

Thats sweet. What started it for me was when I was to little to go hunting and my dad would come home late at night and I would hear him and I got to run to the front door before my mom would catch me to see if my dad had killed anything. When he did I thought it was the coolest thing ever and couldn't wait to start hunting.

From the day i was born till now i have always went hunting and fishing with my Father.  Without him pushing me and showing me the ropes of hunting and fishing i probably would have a boring life.

That was an awesome video.  Thanks for sharing.  My dad got me started young and its something I have always done.  I love hunting and fishing and think about it constantly.

Congrats to the hunter with his first bull.
My passion started with living in the river bottoms and constantly roaming around with our family's dogs when I was young. Always couldn't wait to jump in the truck box to hold the deer my father and his friends had got on their deer hunt every November  counting down the years until I was old enough to go. I feel like I was born this way ;D

For me it was hunting with my Dad, but not for big game.  We were bird hunters in Nebraska only and just recently I decided with a son n the way I need to be able to share the great outdoors with him.  I have always wanted to bowhunt so I just decided it was time.

My Dad did not hunt and no one I knew hunted, but as far back as I remember I wanted to. I remember making a sort of spear gun from a split piece of bamboo and a rubber band to shoot some type of reed arrow. Later got a BB gun and started hunting pigeons after school. They would nest on the roof. Found out through my sister her friends brother hunted and I asked him to take me "for ever" until he did. I hunted with him and his best friend, which also became my best friend for many years. Both have passed, so when I am in the woods I feel they are with me in some way. When I got married I told my wife to "Never" ask me to stop hunting and we would be fine and we have been. I truly believe I was born to hunt.

My Dad started it all for me. I grew up on a ranch and had a .22 ever since I was like 5. I was always shooting things and fishing. It was just the way of life out there!  My Dad doesn't really hunt, he used to and then quit. I'm trying to get him back at it. I got him a crossbow for Christmas. For his Birthday he is having me put him in for the elk draw with me! I did it last year but he didn't draw. Even though he hasn't hunted for years he still always help me reload, clean guns and everything else. He saw my passion for archery and now he wants to get involved in it. Definitely a rewarding moment!

My dad took me scouting for an upcoming rifle hunt in one of Utah's le units mid september when I was 14.  All we did was step out of the rig at dawn and the canyon was going absolutely crazy.  Bulls screaming and fighting all over.  I don't think we even saw an elk, but I haven't been the same since.
