When did you start shooting a bow?

I first started shooting my Hoyt Rampage in May of 2012 :) and its WAS the best decision of my LIFE!!! I was raised on guns, had one every since I was eight years old! A friend challanged me with archery and I'm a girl who loves new challanges! Since then i've been ADDICTED! Now im just preparing for Big game for 2013 and working on my grouping!! Looking forward to tag out this coming season in archery!!

In 1959 for me, I was 7 years old, My brother in law at the time would actually take me deer hunting with him, He taught me a lot about hunting and tracking.
But my sister and him got divorced shortly after that, so most of what I know I learn the hard way on my own. my Dad died when I was 4 years old, so I really learned everything by trial and error.

Started when I was about eight and found I was pretty good shooting instinctive.  Then in college they had a archery class and was very happy to do it.  Finally my Brother-in-law asked if I wanted to go bow hunting and that was the start of 40 years of a wonderful outdoor adventure.

I started a little later than most with only shooting a bow for a year now. I will have my 37th birthday out in my elk area glassing for a big bull September 1st.

nice, can't imagine a better way to spend a birthday

I started shooting 3 years ago when I was 24. My buddy gave me his old bow. The deal was that if he gave me the bow I had to spend one hunting season with him archery hunting and if I didn't like it I could quit and if I did like it I could keep the bow. Well here I am three years later grateful for my buddy. I will never look back.

I started shooting archery when I was 5 or 6 , growing up in a very tiny town in Alaska , we would make our own bows and arrows and shoot fish from the bridges over the streams my native friends taught me how. As a kid I didn't really now how illegal it was , but it gave me a  love for archery that I hope I never out grow

My Parents got into archery in the early 60"s. I still remember being about 7 years old and dreaming of owning the Bear Cub kit displayed in the local sporting goods store. Money was tight so I was amazed when one day Dad came home from work and took it out of the truck for me. It wasn't my birthday or anything. Been loving it every since.

Started shooting bows when i was 14. Even after 22 years of bow hunting, I still have no desire to pick up a rifle to hunt with.

probably about 8 or 9 years old, first real hunting bow at 13.that was back when compounds were still a dream in some inventors head.
