Where Do You Carry Your Bow?

The bow hangs by my hip on a bowhook that is attached to my DayPack. I can draw in around 3 seconds if necessary.

My walking stick/ decoy is always in the other hand, I quickly stab it into the ground if I need to draw my bow.

I use the Kifaru gun bearer. This year, I 3D printed a special hook to attach to the string instead of the quick release strap that is made for a rifle. I need to get some pics posted up of this arrangement.

It works really well. I have both hands free to glass ahead, use the gps, pick my nose, whatever, but it\'s in position to easily ready for a shot if needed.

Left hand grip, right hand string, over the shoulder, by the stab, back to left hand but string, right hand by the grip...I hand it to my son and tell him to carry it while I \"figure something out on the GPS\". :mrgreen:

MOstmostoy the string. Is that bad? I do make sure I keep it waxed because I\'ve noticed it\'ll dry it out quick.

Amazed people carry a bow loaded. How long does it take to nock an arrow? 4 seconds? Doesn\'t seem worth the hassle or the danger. If I get into elk I\'ll do it but of course I\'m either standing still or moving very very slowly.
