Ok, a trick question, where can I find elk in Colorado?

Well Rocky Mountain National Park of course. We drove back from Grand Lake through the park yesterday, and saw tons of elk.

They were spread out at all elevations. Three good size herds down in the parks, some with way over 50 cow/calves in it. One herd was right by the road, while the other two were on the far side of the parks, right near the tree line.

We also saw a ton way up high, from 11K on up. One small group was just down from visitor center (I\'ve seen Elk in this valley every time I\'ve gone up), with three or four calves. Moving toward Estes park, we saw two really good size herds bedded down pretty close to the road. These were way up there, close to 12k. We also saw a few Bulls bedded down and / or feeding along the road.

My wife also got to see her first Moose. This cow had two calves, which were feeding right along the road (On the west side of the park). The pictures were taken from the safety of the truck.
