After talking to Nick and figuring out where he wanted to go, I will be sending out his map in the in the mail tomorrow. Thanks for the submissions this round and let\'s keep it going.

I have several maps of this unit already so I picked an area that I hadn\'t covered but held some interest to me. At one end of the map is the spot I killed my bull the last time I hunted here. I wasn\'t surprised to see the area where I had watched his herd feed was marked on the map as a primary feeding area. The first evening I sat and glassed this area, I expected the elk to come from the huge area of north facing slopes that rimmed this drainage. But to my surprise, the elk came down from this relatively small ridge with a small area of dark timber on the opposite side of the drainage that was closer to the road. The obvious, large area of north slope was marked on Mike\'s map but it was interesting to see the little ridge top where the elk came from that evening and where I killed the bull the next morning as he pushed his herd back in there was also marked!
Note to self....don\'t overlook the small, less obvious stuff!
Super excited to get back out there!
