So I ran into this a couple months ago. I'm not sure if any of it is photoshopped, but I got a kick out of some of the shotty work.  :p

Not photo shopped. Alot of the pictures on the website are of older mounts that didn't hold up very well to time. Unfortunately in taxidermy there isn't a set standard for licensing in most states if a license is required at all. Supply companies will sell to anyone who calls and request a catalog. It's not hard these days to find shotty work because everybody thinks they can slide a hide on a form and make it look like a deer.

I don't have a picture, but when I was in High school I shot a buck my dad said I should mount, I didn't have a lot money. I found a guy who said he would mount it for not a lot of money, it took forever, and when I got it back it looked bad and has been going downhill ever since.
In PA taxidermist are regulated by the state.
