Looking to take my nephew on a cow elk hunt in unit 7, 19 or 23 next fall probably a type 6 or 7 tag...would anybody be willing to lend some advice as to where to start looking ? Does anyone have experience with the Hunter management ares ?
We've rifle hunted area 7 for cows for the last few years. HMAs get heavy hunting pressure when they open. Weather gets dicey and roads start to close around Thanksgiving (depending on snow accumulation and drifts). Shoot me a PM when you get a chance.
