Your best deer

Some truly great bucks taken by everyone!

I\'ll try to beat this buck - but with a bow next time!

Thanks Bowhunter. I would like to get a big hard horned mule deer one of these days.

Years ago Wisconsin deer were brought here and released... I think that these deer with this coloration have the genes of those deer since they had that same coloration the Wisconsin deer had back then... Most of the deer released didn\'t survive for unknown reasons... Most all of the deer we have in our area are colored like this one.... Deer in other parts of the state have a different coloration... More gray than tan...
 
Good looking bucks everyone. I have never shot a white tail so if I got one it would be my biggest. I do love hunting mule deer and put in 20 - 30 days scouting every year and usually turn up some great bucks.

Here are a few of my favorites Top left = just short of 34\" wide, middle top 9x11 buck 32 1/2\" wide kicker to kicker = low 220\'s. Top right is over 29\" but did not hit the 30\" mark. The best is middle row left as I got that one with a long bow at 12 yds.

That is quite a collection. The longbow kill just makes it even better, Congrats!

Great mulies JV! Almost as good as your elk collection!
 
Awesome work everybody! This guy isn\'t all that wide, but nice and tall with some character in the tine area. I was pretty stoked, and not bad for a 0pp public land tag.

Since I\'ve never killed a mule deer, I\'m envious of some of those posted. Very nice! Looking forward to my first mule deer hunt this September. This is my best whitetail taken in SE Oklahoma. Arrowed him at 35 yards as he showed up like a ghost. Never had seen him before. 183\" of antler.

3 public land and one from a lease I used to have. Only the one on the pedastal was with a bow. Interesting enough all of them were in bow range prior to rifle season, I just couldn\'t close the deal with my bow :think:
