I spoke to my buddy in Montana last night and he is running a wolf trap line, anyone else out there laying steel or otherwise hunting wolves?

Who's found sheds already?  Its a little early to really start looking here but I picked up this whitetail shed the other night while I was out fox hunting.

A buddy of mine called me from his treestand on opening day of bow season telling me he just smoked a monster whitetail.  He said the hit might have gone in a little high but he had the shot on video and it looked good enough to kill the deer.  I talked him in to waiting for an hour to take up...

Here is a picture of an entry wound on a doe I shot with a Slick Trick this past fall.  Very impressive hole and a very short blood trail! 

Say you are on an out of state hunt, at what point do you take a cow or calf?  I've passed up shots at them in archery season and ended up going back out west in rifle only to take a cow on the last day. How do you guys decide when its time to fill tags vs. wait for bone?
