DIY WY Archery Bull of 2013.  Not the biggest on the hill, but he gave the best opportunity.

My first archery kill and first elk.  Had one day to hunt and shot him an hour before dark.  30 yard broadside shot and ran 40 yards where he died five feet off the roadway.

called this one in for my buddies son opening day in Montana , Cole's first bull and first elk with a bow. Shot at 16 yards

Montana BC that is actually kinda funny you see ,I called  in a 4 point bull  5 min after he shot this one that i passed on but was caught on video( I will post when I can) and My mouth was so dry by than that I think I sounded like a sick duck.    however it works I called in 2 more within 30 min after that. Just goes to prove you dont have to be the best caller.

The Wyoming season was good this year, even though I missed a big bull opening day.


I was able to call a herd of cows in a couple a weeks ago and took a yearling. 


I only had three days left to hunt and needed to fill my freezer.  I decided I was going to shoot the next elk that came into range.  On Saturday I was able to call the little bull to seven yards.


I really like the new TZ 4000 (thanks elk101.com).  I hunted with it every day and was able to get a hind quarter out of the canyon with it.


It was a great year.  Can't wait for next year.
