Way to go FireTiger! Points on the board for the non existent Team Zero!

Congrats to everyone who has punched a tag or who has gone through blood, sweat and tears in search of the mighty wapiti.
I was hoping this post would bring a photo of you and an animal.
I am not done yet. It isn\'t over until September 27th @ 7:25 pm MT. I have a secret spot for closing week. At the moment, my body is recovering from my opening week adventures. Nasty bruised right elbow is very black and blue from my Sunday evening fall. I did not realize how bad it was until I used a mirror to look at it. Tonight, I\'ll shoot my bow to see how it does. I had considered a Saturday day hunt...drive 3 hrs Saturday, hunt 3-4 hrs, drive back home 3 hrs. I like opening morning Muzzleloader.

Good luck Lark and to your son.

Go get \'em Marc!

Well, First I would like to say I have returned home from 1st Archery Elk hunt ever and it was a success. I would like to thank everyone on the forum for their direct and indirect advice! I was able to gain lots of knowledge from you guys and am very grateful for it.

I will post the story in another post but the Golden Oldies did score 9 points!

Here are a couple of pics.

Thanks again everyone!

Nice bull Justin! Assume the branch is to cover the shot area so kudos for making it a very presentable picture.

Congrats Justin first elk and a nice bull. Don\'t get any better than that. :upthumb:

Thanks guys! It was a truly awesome hunt.

Russ, It was to cover up the shot entrance. The 125gr Rage hypodermic did a number on him. Showing gory pics just makes all hunters look like savages instead of conservationist that love the outdoors and animals that we hunt. Just figured the animal deserved that much respect.

Couple pics
