2015 Elk meat pole thread!

My 18 year old son\'s first bull, what a great experience this year for him. He went out one night by himself and called in 5 bulls and had the big herd bull at 20 yards twice with no shot due to the brush and 2 days later I called this 5x6 into him on a string he cow called and stopped him at 30 yards.

Hey guys, I\'m back! Your not going to believe this, but I was kidnapped by a herd of Colorado elk & they wouldn\'t let me go until I revealed everything I know about cnelk and his techniques for elk hunting. Had to produce pictures & tell them all his favorite haunts. They bit it hook , line & sinker! Said they would get the Intel to the resident herd in southeast Colorado to be on the look out for him.( hope no one hunts down there).

Truth is, I\'ve been busier that a $5 hooker at a democratic convention. But, things slowed down a bit & I got to head west for a week starting the 12th. The first morning out, we sweet talked a young overly ambitious bull right in . 15 yds quartering to. Big Danny Moore would be proud of me. He ran all of 20 yards & went down. An easy pack out & if the rest of him is as good as the sampling I had last night, I\'m a happy hunter. Hopefully my Son will send me the video & I can share it . Should be real good. Enough rambling! Congrats to ALL the successful guys & gals. Some outstanding critters hanging from the meat pole again this year. For those still hunting, good luck & keep after em!

Brad, you can thank me later for the twofer. If I had told em your whereabouts, things might not have turned out nearly as good for you...

Congrats on your son\'s elk Flystrait!

Dave, are you shooting crooked arrows again and an elk ran into it??? :)
Nice job!!!

Bunglemaster is so full of BS, you can\'t believe a word he says. Anyway, congrats Dave on finding that raghorn that probably died from CWD and gave you the photo op. :haha:   :wtf:

WW - you owe me for one screen cleaning! Now that was funny! Guess it\'s payback for that chili incident many moons ago.

Looks like he\'s got a busted leg from the picture Dave. Was he bedded down and unable to get up?

Congrats Dave!

FARTS x3! But the tall one does make some great chile. The the short older one doesn\'t handle it well tho.. :haha:

Congrats to you and your son! I can\'t wait until my kids gets old enough to experience that with me. I am sure you are super proud and damn well should be.
