OK guys!

Elk seasons are opening across the west this week....post pictures of your successful 2015 elk hunts here! It might just get you some cool gear... :)

Got it done 7 am opening morning. 24 yds, slick trick and an elite 35, make for a deadly combo. With time restraints due  to a 8 month pregnant wife and my az bull hunt quickly approaching, I'm totally blessed to fill the freezer.

hunt or die

Took this nice little 5 point on Sept. 4th in Colorado. We were chasing a really nice 330-ish 6 point and this guy came in too close. I have a two month old at home and limited time to hunt this year, so I was happy to put all this great meat in the freezer early!

Good luck everyone!

saturday September 5th ended up being my most successful day in the elk woods. Using the challenge bugle I called this big bruiser in for a 25 yard broadside shot. He came running in when I hammered him with a challenge bugle each time he bugled. After three of them he couldn't take it anymore. After the shot he ran 50 yards and piled up. It all happened within 5 minutes, from the time I located him to the time of the shot. I feel blessed. Now I get to call for my old man and my brother.

Thanks to coreys suggestion I took the bull if my dreams. Thanks Corey. Hope everyone else's season is as fruitful as mine. Hunt hard and shoot straight.

That is a stud.  Did you green score him?

Yes I did. He green scored 343". Very pleased. He's a lot bigger than I thought he was. He grew once he hit the dirt.

With the help of my best friends calling, and the Lord guiding my arrow, I harvested this monster with a general tag in Oregon. This is truly a sport that is unique and special.
