My 2015 Idaho bull.

I felt very fortunate to tag this old monarch as the bulls were tight lipped this year in my area. Persistence paid off!  :D

Impressive, congrats.  Any other pics to share of the bull?

Be sure to check out this post with highlights from the Elk101.com Pro Staff's archery elk season...of the 20 elk hunters that make up the Pro Staff, there were 17 elk killed in September...read about it here:

Well the second to last day of archery season and finally got it done...locate and cut him off on a game trail. 13 yards quartering to.  Tucked the arrow right in front of the near shoulder and it came out behind the offside shoulder. Went 80 yards. At close range, I'd take the shot again...

Arrows4elk- that was actually one of the new Muzzy Trocars and that was the entrance wound lol.  Started the season using my ulmer edge mechanical until I got some severe deflection in thick timber and missed a nice 5 at 30 yards.  Switched to Trocars for deep timber and may never go back. Went through in front of V of big shoulder bones, through the meat in that shoulder area, nearside rib, front of near lung, top of heart, rear of offside lung, through offside rib, and out behind offside shoulder.  Dead elk in seconds. Impressive bh performance.

My az bull. Long story short, I shot the wrong bull. Well it won't let me post it. It's my avatar. No big deal. Now headed to wyoming to fill another bull tag hopefully!. Going for the trifecta, bow, muzzy, rifle!

On Oct 25 2015 I was able to harvest my oldest, most mature and biggest elk to date.

I'm new to this site!  I'm from Wyoming and love bow-hunting especially elk.  I was fortunate enough to fill my tag this year with a great 6x7 bull with my bow.  I had him officially score by P&Y and he grosses 364 even and nets 348 7/8.  I'd love to popst a picture but it keeps coming up with an error.

Congrats on all the successful hunters this year who got it done!

Maxhunter,

Sorry about the image posting issues....we are moving to a new server, so we have the files locked down so no new images can be uploaded until the transfer is complete. We should be back up and running over the weekend....and I can't wait to see a picture of your bull!

My son just finished editing my 2015 elk hunt. I was super lucky to be with a bunch of friends, including my brother in law who has never been on a hunt before. He carried the camera and did a pretty good job.

Notching Tags,

Just watched your film yesterday, great stuff!  Loved how you kept it real and didn't take out any of your misses, the lows of the hunt are what helps tell the story.  I really enjoyed it. Can't wait for next years!
