2016 trail camera picture thread

That big brown cow has her head obstructed.... draw and shoot her now before that elk spooks her....

I think I could get the bull and the cow both if I had the appropriate tags to do so.... :haha: :haha:

Of course the rancher might be a little perturbed about the cow.... :D :D

Me and my kids went up on Friday to check trail cams.
With all the stuff going on it was nice to get up to the high country.

The damn elk moved my cams so I got over 500 pics of a branch!
And dead batteries too

I placed another cam in hopes to see what is happening before season starts

In the meantime, the kids found a bunch of wild raspberries right by the tree stands.

Nothing like having fresh berries in elk country

From the looks of the leaves, those look like thimble berries. Either way, my elk hunting stops when I stumble into a patch . What a great place to sit down and have a break. :dance2:

Ohhhhh Yeah.... nothing like fresh fruit to interrupt an elk hunt

OH! those wild raspberries are so sweet. I dug some shoots up last year when my son and I was scouting in Colorado. I now have some growing in my garden. :D

Checked the cameras today ... lots of nice photos of cows and calves ... lots of different rag-horn bulls, and 1 full-size with a strange non-typical right antler with an odd crown and a knarrly mess of a right brow tine mess.

Nice John. :upthumb:

I have never checked. Do you have a point restriction on bulls like CO?

Where that bull is: No spikes.

about 100 yards to the south-west: Any bull.

I\'ll try to put a video of this guy who showed up the night that I put the camera up.

He\'s half elk, half caribou!

Same spot, later. Listen to the mews ... kind of cool to hear the real thing.

I like \"junk\" antlers but have never kill a deer with any...

If I was you I would shoot that bull if I had the chance... :upthumb: :upthumb:

Same area ... it\'s a transition area between an open park and some dense, flat spruce bedding areas.

And here\'s some more elk talk.
