I think one thing that used to help me and I need to start doing it again was shooting 3d tournaments. You didn\'t know the distance so it helped you with judging distance without using your rangefinder. You were also able to get used to shooting in the vitals because that\'s where the scoring rings are. I know it helped me when I lived and hunted back east for whitetail because the whitetail are skitish and don\'t always have time to grab the rangefinder.
Bowhunting elk-I think a whitetailer has one advantage....
