Calling in Cows?

I?m hunting the Oregon coast during late season cow hunt in a few weeks.  Looking for some advice for calling for cows.  Here the herds are typically pretty small.  Lots of 5-8 sized groups and only a few big herds.  Any tactics which have worked for people in the past?

I have called in cows in the late season with a locator bugle. If they are close they seem to come in but the times I have done it they wandered in slowly while feeding and didn't say anything.

Your not going to probably call one in but you can just use a cow call to locate them. Calves readily respond and where there are calves cows will follow. A hoochie mama would work as well as any mouth or diaphram call.
