Favorite Elk call?

I've had great luck with the raging bull and mellow yellow mama.  I am a big fan of the bully bull tube for bugling.

I've also used the new Phelps Game Calls Camo Supreme, wood cow elk call.  I prefer using a reed, but when not using a reed that is one of the best sounding cow calls I've put my hands on.

I completely forgot about those calls. I love the Phelps( Green lantern) the color is just cool  !  ;D Great sounding calls .

You believe that Jason?!  The man who is mounting your bull, and has used your calls, talks to you all the time, forgot about you! Time for some words there...   Who's Charlie's Taxidermy?!  8)  LOL

I had success using a Flextone reed call this year. I hope to get into using a bugle tube this year.

LOL, When I think of elk calls Im always thinking of reeds for some reason  8)

bugling bull game calls diaphragms (elk101 Allstar is my favorite) bully bull grunt tube, and the temptress external reed.  A lot of great calls out there but I've had success with that combo!

My favorite elk call is a  reed call made by Glen Berry.  Have used these calls for 30 years and called as high as 126 bull in a season.  Made tough and last for many more years than the others that are looking for you to have to buy new each year.

Found a new favorite this year. The brown reed from Bugling Bull is my favorite reed and hyperlip single is my favorite open reed.

I like the Raging Bull diaphragm with a Point Blank Rock Hard Grunt tube. Also use a Matriarch call.

This is a great thread for a beginner like me in the market for my first call.  Thinking about just going with the elk 101 combo pack as it contains all the calls I was looking at getting anyway.  Anybody have any thoughts on this?

I like diaghram calls once I have something coming in that way there isn't as much movement when you have eyes trying to find you. But I think my favorite call is actually a homemade one that has called in tons of elk. Its always the one I pull out when I need something reliable.

I like the primos hyper lip single, when they get close switch to a primos black diaphram call.
Got a new Elk 101 all star diaphram call, cant wait to try it out this fall.
