\"cnelk\" said:I was discussing this topic with iccyman this morning and my swedeometer for judging is the tops first - 4th thru 6th points.
If the top is good, the bottom is good.
If the top is average, the bottom is average.
But thats only after it\'s a \'shoot or no shoot bull\'
\"Jaquomo\" said:I just studied this again and looked at Jay\'s \"guesstimate\". I believe he\'s off by 2\" on almost all of estimates. If he thinks those G1s are 14 and 13, he\'s dreaming. They are 12 and 11. Same with the thirds. From that point on everything else is inflated. The inside spread of the main beams is 30. I just stuck a tape on several bulls around my office with similar tines at each of those spots. Still going with 285, tops.
Because of the symmetry the bull looks bigger on video than he will actually score. Still a great bull if he\'s OTC and public land. If he\'s in a limited unit, I\'d walk away unless it was close to the end of the season.
The beauty of videos and photos like these is that unless the bull is later killed, nobody really knows for sure!
