Got one 3 years ago and cant believe i waited so long. Anybody out there still eyeball it? Would definitely recommend for a western hunt, but really not as critical in a treestand where you can have markers of different ranges memorized

It's essential.  You're not always able to range the animal,  but when switching set ups ranging a couple bushes or trees can make or break your hunt.  Tough to find one that shoots through brush.  I prefer nikon. We use them when working in the woods.

Rangefinder is always with me, archery or rifle.  Even when just out hiking I like to take it and guess distances then check myself with the rangefinder.

I wont leave home without it archery hunting.  If I do forget it im not hunting without it.  The animal deserves it.  If you guess and you are off by a couple yards it can throw your shot off making it not a vital hit.
