Recommend a tree stand?

Definitely get a portable climber. You can\'t even leave a hang-on stand up overnight in National Forest legally. I loved hunting with my Ol\' Man climbers in the early 2000\'s. Super comfy, and relatively quiet attachment, without spending $500 on a lone wolf. I have never used a Lone Wolf but they look good if you can afford it. A lot of my buddies in AL switched from Ol\' Man\'s to Treewalkers recently because the quality is better for the same price.
Make sure you pack a limb saw, these CO trees are super limby on the way up.

Thanks for the advice--that\'s what I was originally looking for, but my hunting partners said the trees in that area are just too gnarly for those to work well. They tried climbers for one season and switched to hang-ons after that. Unfortunately, I\'m not yet familiar with where we\'ll be, but they\'ve hunted there for 30+ yrs, so I took their word for it. :dk:

Probably personal preference but with that chain, you\'ll never have to worry with squirrels chewing on it nor the sunlight degrading it in a few years if left in the elements.

Thanks, I didn\'t even think of that. Those squirrels chew on everything!
Last week I practiced hanging the stand at ground level, with help from experienced tree stand hunters. They were all amazed at how easy the Millennium 100 was to hang. This week I\'ll use the rapid rails and practicing hanging it a bit higher. With harness and lineman rope properly attached, of course. :)
