shot groups

Good for you Arrows4Elk...now you've inspired me to have a crack at seeing how far I can push my shooting  8)

Mind you, I'd better put up a backdrop as that target of mine is going to look pretty small at 70 yards and more  ;)

I'm up at my parents house this weekend to bear hunt. They have a 3D range on the property that is fun to shoot. I set up a bear target I can shoot from their deck that sits at 99 yds. with 50' elevation drop. This was my 3 shot group before heading down to shoot the range. The 2nd pic looks from the target to the deck to show the distance.

No kidding, excellent shooting Heath.

Where are you located?  May is super early for a bear tag, isnt it? Here in Colorado archery season opens around the same time as elk, 1st weekend of September.

I live in Idaho. We have both spring and fall bear seasons.

This was my best group at 50yds. I was all over the bag when I started shooting from that distance. I had my girlfriend take a video of me shooting, watching the video I could see my bad habits. After correcting a couple of things my shooting has really started to improve!

For the last 10 days since reading this thread I have shot everyday at 70 and 80 yards exclusively. About 50+/- arrows a day.

While the results at those distances aren't impressive, I shot from 50 yards this morning for the first time in 10 days and my groups tightened up considerably!!
