Advise for new elk hunter.... spend the money and sign up for elk101.com !! but of course you all already know that. SO you should practice calling and get into shape.

My piece of advice for an interested hunter would be to purchase the Elk University. This course walks you though how to elk hunt from the start to finish. I?ve been hunting Elk all my life and this course teachs awesome information.

Where do I even begin! I applied for moose, elk, and bighorn in North Dakota. I will also apply for antelope and deer in this state. I applied for elk in Montana and elk in New Mexico. I plan on hunting antelope and deer in South Dakota too, pending the tags I draw. Of all the tags I put in for, I am really hoping for the New Mexico elk tag. I have unfinished business down there.

I am most excited to get a bow in my wife?s hand this season and in front of a big game animal. She has already been successful on a great mule deer while 9 months pregnant, but that was at 200 yards with a rifle. She wants to get up close and personal.
